Sandra began her study of medicine in 1980 at New Hampshire Technical College where she received a degree in Medical Technology. She then worked in hospitals in New Hampshire and Vermont. In 1995 she became and EMT and started working as a volunteer on the ambulance squad in her home town in Vermont. During this time she was also studying T'ai Chi Chuan a gentle Chinese martial art. Drawn to a more holistic way of healing, Sandra started to explore alternative methods of medicine. When a career change for her husband moved the family to Connecticut in 1996, Sandra continued to work in biomedicine but completed her pre-med credits at the University of Connecticut, where she was honored as a Babbidge Scholar. Sandra was then accepted at the New England School of Acupuncture in 2000 and graduated with honors in 2004. Sandra holds a Masters Degree in Acupuncture from NESA, is nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and licensed in the state of Connecticut. Sandra's approach to treatment includes patient education from a biomedical and oriental medical viewpoint, craniosacral therapy, massage therapy, essential oils, dietary therapy and supplementation along with Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture.
